Friday Night Crop

Can Team Friday scrap or what?  more like they can paper craft until 3 am.....  wow what a neat Friday night.  We had some very creative juices flowing last night.  From card making,  to a beautiful wedding present that Deborah did for a wedding she is going to today.  A black frame with 2 sheets of glass, was the start.   She put the couples last name on the back sheet of glass with black vinyl, and their first names and the wedding date on the top piece of glass in white vinyl.   We shared out experiences at CHA, pictures of a lot of products that was there.  And  well we won't tell how much more will be ordered in the next few weeks.    What happens Team Friday Crops stays there.   Well some of it will stay here, we love to share what we have been doing, and are planning.  Can't wait for those houses to get here and the steam punk airships.  Those are going to be a blast.

We will be posting pictures as we go, and information on how you too can join us, or gt the materials for these cool projects.    Later team.

February Update

Just getting back from 3 days at CHA in Los Angles.   It was a wonderful experience to be able to attend the CHA Trade Show with two good friends of mine.  Cheryl and Deborah were just like I was, a kid in the candy store.  The candy in this store was scrapbooking supplies.  We saw so many new and exciting products for the world of paper crafting.  It was hard to decide what to order.  After hours of pouring over catalogs we made the decisions of what to order and bring back to our Friday I'd rather be scrapbooking group.   Girls you have some exciting new products to touch, use and create some awesome paper crafts.  A preview CHA evening is being planned to let you see all the goodies, and to have some make and take it projects.   More to follow on the date and time.

I will be posting some of the pictures we took on the floor at the show, and hopefully you will get as excited as we are to get out hands on all these materials.

It's going to be a very busy month.   We have planned a couple of fun challenges for you to take part in.  Remember playing house.  Well one of the first challenges is to decorate a dream house for yourself.  You will receive a chipboard house to complete however you want,  you can add paper, paint it. glimmer mist, or let your imaginations take you to where ever you wish to go.    You will have 3 weeks to finish the project and bring it back to our Friday Girls Night Out Crop to share your house.  There might even be a prize for the winning house.

February is Valentines month so for our crop on February 10th Bring a Valentine to share with the group.  We will do a Valentine swap.   Of course we will have to have some Valentines snacks, and goodies to keep our creative juices going.  Please let me know if you are able to come to this crop ASAP.   Same hours as normal  6 pm  to ?????   If you want to come back on Saturday I will be willing to have a Saturday crop as well.

Thanks for reading this blog.  It is something new for me and I am hoping that I can make it interesting and informational as I can for you.   If you have any questions on paper crafting please let me know and I will try to address each one on the blog.  If you have any techniques that interest you again let me know so I can schedule a date where we can share ideas and information on the technique that you are interested in.

See ya,  soon.

Sherrys Scrap Pages

Last year I decided that I wanted to start a blog.  This year I have finally got it started.  I hope to use my blog to share my scrap pages,  and paper craft ideas.  This may be a slow process but as soon as I get the hang of posting pictures etc.  I know that I will be trying to post at least once a week if not more.  I have a goal for the year and I hope that I can keep it up.

I am going to be going to CHA, and I am so excited.  It's been years since I was there so this will be like a kid in the candy store I am sure.   I love seeing the new product lines, new ideas, new tools, and just the excitement of being among the best of the best paper artists out there.

Hope to be back soon.  Wish me luck in learning this new challenge.  Thanks
